What I bring
I challenge existing leadership stereotypes and outdated behaviours. I work closely with leaders to overcome patterns of stuck behaviour and unhealthy levels of stress. In doing so, I help them to harness their potential, enabling leaders to perform at their best.
Strength
There’s nothing to fear, even at the highest levels of leadership. This gives me the strength to challenge ingrained behaviours. Strength comes from humility and understanding that we need to discover the answers together.
Tenacity
We all have blind spots, overcoming them is the key to high performance. I have the skill and tenacity to uncover stuck behaviours which are slowing you down.
Honesty
It is low performing to have people tell you what you want to hear. However, this is easier than being honest. High performance comes from taking the time to build mutual respect and open-ness. This allows honest and direct conversations which are so rare in organisations.
Insightfulness
We are all flawed human beings with untapped potential. This insight guides my work as a coach. I support clients to recognise and manage their flaws, while enabling them to exceed their expectations.
Calmness
Overcoming impossible challenges is the daily work of leaders. Anxiety and stress can run high, the calmness and support I bring resets the challenge, allowing a productive way forward.
Decades of experience
David has 30+ years of experience working with leaders across many sectors in Asia, Europe and the U.S.A.
He started his career in Management Consultancy and moved on to Human Resources where he has specialised in leadership and executive development.
He holds an MSc in Humanities, a BSC in Engineering and has undertaken post graduate studies in analytical and developmental psychology.
From London
to the Scottish Borders
Creating space for new behaviours and mindsets is possible. Thirty years of experiencing coaching, mentoring and psychoanalysis have taught me this is true.
In 2023 I took it one step further by moving from one of the most densely populated parts of the UK to one of the least.
Life in the Scottish Borders creates spaciousness. A useful metaphor for my daily work as a coach.
